I think the biggest problems I have with Japanese is Particles. We don't use anything like it in English, so it can be hard sometimes to know which one to use where. You might have some similar problems with words that don't have Japanese equivalents, like "the."

私は、日本語において私が抱える一番大きな問題は"助詞"だと思います。
英語ではそのようなものがない為、どの助詞をどこに使えば良いのか時々
分からなくなります。貴方達も"the"のように日本語では使用法が違うみたいに
似たような問題があるかもしれませんね。

I think you can prevent that problem by reading many Japanese
books. I also think communicating and writing more in Japanese
are important. It might take a lot of time to learn how to use
particles in Japanese because Japanese is one of the most
difficult language. But even us native Japanese speakers sometimes
have troubles with particles so you'd better to not worry too much
about it.

まきほさん→are you a native speaker? if you are, where do you go to school??? I just wondered. I used to go to Kansai Christian School in Nara before I changed schools to a Japanese school. I think I'm just kinda talking to much, so I'll shut up. lol
